that everything is a choice
and we can decide.”

"Faith.. if it is not accompanied by action.. is dead." (James 2:17)

We live in a bit of a ‘microwave culture nowadays, don’t we? It’s all about how quickly we can have something. We want to hear the blessed ‘ping’ after only a couple minutes and very little effort from ourselves.

The reality is though, microwave food doesn’t taste that great, compared to your mum’s dishes. All the time and careful preparation taken over a home cooked dinner becomes obvious in taste.

Time + effort counts.
Exactly like a lot of things we want in life. We have to be prepared to put the time and work in. Having the gift of faith for God to help you pass all your exams without putting any work into the revision - that’s not using your God-given abilities. & if we were to put time + effort, we got to make sure that love is at the centre.

Because if we’re not love-focused in what we do, it doesn’t mean anything.

“Painting, art in general, enchants me. It is my life. What else matters? When you put all your soul into a work, all that is noble in you, you cannot fail to find a kindred soul who understands you, and you do not need a host of such spirits. Is not that all an artist should wish for?”

Enjoyed some painting before work.

“Around us, life bursts with miracles, a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.”

Words

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

Let my words be of life and not death. Words that bring peace, love and joy. Let my words reflect my heart. & let my heart reflects Yours.
